Dartmouth College Swimmer Dies

A twenty-one-year-old male from Dartmouth College passed away on December 28th, 2015 while swimming laps in the YMCA Pool located in Sarasota, Florida. This Nashville born man was considered to be one of the better swimmers at the college. He was pursuing his skills onwards by trying to finish four underwater laps without rising for air, the result for his body went into distress, causing him to drown.

Tate Ramsden

This unfortunate event has caused for a great upset in his family as his uncle, cousin and sister were all with him at the time watching him complete his laps. The uncle informed lifeguards, notifying them that Tate Ramsden was no longer moving in the water. Lifeguards did their best to resuscitate this young man but were unable to do so. He was pronounced dead minutes later. This young man was set to graduate as of next year, he was a stand out student in the school as well as the program.

As for his sister, uncle and cousin whom has to bear witness to the event, they’ve stated no words to the press. Tate’s sister was eight years younger then him, being twenty-one this made his sister only thirteen years old. Hopefully this young lady isn’t traumatized by the events that transpired before her eyes. As for the rest of the family, we hope that he may Rest in Peace & may you know that he shall not be forgotten by the people of Sarasota, Florida or Dartmouth College. Our deepest sympathies go out to all of you.
